The Aquabar 9300 Pressure Sensor is a highly accurate solid state pressure transducer capable of measuring gage pressures from 0 to 200 psi with the normal range for stage measurements being 0 to 15, 22, or 30 psi which correlates to 30, 50 and 70 feet (10, 15, and 22 meters) of water. The Aquabar 9300 operates over the range of 0 to 50 feet of water (0-22 PSIG) with an error of less than ±0.01 foot of water. The Aquabar is temperature compensated to operate over the range of -40 to 60 degrees Celsius.
Housed in a durable aluminum case, the Aquabar Gage Pressure Sensor is equipped with a DB-9 (RS-232) female connector, a circular cannon plug connector, and a fitting for a 1/8" OD tubing. The power requirement is 12 VDC. The unit is equipped with a pressure-relief valve for protection from over pressures. The fiberglass enclosure measures 8 by 10 by 6 inches high and has a hinged lid with quick-release latches for easy access to the transducer, tubing and wiring. With its low power consumption and low maintenance requirement, it is ideal for remote stage measurement sites.
The sensors are designed to measure differential pressures and digitally transmit the measured values to a data recorder or computer (via the SDI-12 or RS-232C serial interface).
The transmitted values can be in the form of any meaningful engineering units related to pressure, typically meters, feet or inches of water. The temperature of the instrument is also provided as an output, often eliminating the need for separate temperature instrumentation.
